DAVAO CITY Covid19 Vaccination Drive for Senior Citizens

BARANGAY TORIL DAVAO CITY 

Today May 21, 2021 I accompanied my mom in getting her first jab of free covid19 vaccine in Brgy Toril Davao City. We arrived at exactly 8am and as expected because it was assumed to be the last day for vaccination for the Seniors (which by the way was extended to May 25-28, 2021 from 8am-3pm), there was a long line already when we arrived. However everything were in order kudos to the efforts of Brgy Toril officials, DOH Davao and City Government of Davao under the leadership of Mayor Sara Duterte. Honestly there were hesitations at first to get a covid19 vaccine due to negative news like adverse side effects to some who received it, but due to words of encouragement from family members like my Aunt, neighbors who were fellow seniors as well finally made our minds, me and my siblings concurred to have my mom vaccinated.

You will be given some advisory papers about the vaccine and some side effects in it you will encounter later, A City Health Office Monitoring Sheet with HOT LINE numbers to call in case of emergency and your vaccine ID/CARD. 

REMINDERS: 

✔Eat your breakfast first, take your vitamins and maintenance before leaving the house. 

✔Bring VALID ID and own ballpen.

✔A bottled water or container (they have free water refilling station), some snacks and lunch.

FAQs; 

• Did you register ? 

          No. Open to all Senior Citizens 60 years old and above. 

• I am not from Barangay Toril can I still get one? As far as the announcement heard earlier 

          YES they will cater just provide VALID ID and must be a resident of Davao City. 

• If i got the Astrazeneca on first dose, can I have Sinovac on second dose? 

          No..as per the nurse must be the same vaccine brand.
