My Journey to Giza Necropolis (CAIRO, EGYPT)
My journey to Cairo, Egypt was way back 2010 when I sign-up for a crew tour on Norwegian Jade. One of the perks that come in working on a passenger ship is also a chance to experience touring those magnificent tourist destinations at a fair discounted price.In the video the guy from the souvenir shop showed to us how to make a Papyrus, it is first known to have been used in ancient Egypt as writing material and for boats, mattresses, etc. It was a four hour long drive (if my memory serves me right) to Cairo from Alexandria, as shown in the video we have a tour guide in the bus narrating us about the history, tradition, culture about Egypt. We went to Giza Necropolis an archeological site on the Giza Plateau. This ancient monument includes the three pyramids known as the Great Pyramids (Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx, and several cemeteries .
